The new KOBOLD flowmeter Type MIK is used for measuring and monitoring the smaller and medium-sized flows of conductivity liquids in pipes. The device operates according to the electromagnetic measurement principle. According to Faraday’s Law of magnetic induction, a voltage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic field. The electrically conductive measuring agent acts as the moved conductor. The voltage induced in the measuring agent is proportional to the flow velocity and is, therefore, a value for the volumetric flow. The flowing media must have a minimum conductivity. The induced voltage is picked up by two sensing electrodes that are in contact with the measuring agent and sent to the measuring amplifier. The flow rate will be calculated based on the cross-sectional area of the pipe. The measurement is not depending on the process liquid and its material properties such as density, viscosity and temperature. The device may be equipped with a switch, frequency or analogue output. Moreover, there is a compact electronic system to be selected from, which contains a switch and an analogue output. The device series is completed by optionally obtainable dosing and counter electronic system. The counter electronics system shows the current flow rate on the first line of the display and shows the partial or overall volume on the second line. A dosing electronic system controls simple filling duties and also measures the flow rate, overall volume and filling volume. The analogue output and two relay outputs can be utilised for the further processing of signals.

The fluid flows from bottom to top through the meter tube of the flowmeter. The float is lifted until an annular gap between the meter ring and the cone-shaped float is produced which corresponds to the flow. The forces acting on the float are in equilibrium. The forces that are mainly acting on the float comprise buoyancy according to the principle of Archimedes, the flow force of the medium and the weight force. Each position of the float corresponds to a flow value measured during calibration, which is transferred to a scale. The BGN variable area flowmeter consists of a meter tube with connections, a meter ring, and a conical float. By means of a magnet, the position of the float is transferred to an encapsulated follow magnet, which has been fitted to a pointer axle. The position of a second annular follow magnet fitted on the pointer axle is transferred to the scale by means of the pointer.
Individually usable for third-party handwheels Scale 66.8mm, reinforced plastic housing either dust-tight, oil filled or waterproof, scale and pointer
Current/Voltage output Wire-actuated encoder with analog output, potentiometric, current source or voltage output, with a measuring length of up to 6000 mm. Easy adjustment of the output signal to the actual measuring length via an integrated gear mechanism.
The TM Series Mass Flow Meter utilizes the Coriolis principle of operation to measure mass flow. Density and temperature are simultaneously monitored and volumetric flow is additionally calculated with these parameters. The TM Series is available with a direct mounted transmitter or in a remote mounted configuration. The TM Series can be used to meter nearly all liquid or gaseous media. Available in a variety of end connections, the TM can be used in many applications. The TM Series is also used for precise dosing applications.

The pressure test pump LR-Cal LPP 700 is used to generate pressure for checking, adjusting and calibrating mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments by comparative measurements. These pressure tests may be carried out in laboratories, workshop or on site at the measuring point. If the instrument to be tested and a sufficiently accurate reference measuring instrument are connected up to the test pump, the same pressure is applied to the two measuring instruments when the pressure test pump LR-Cal LPP 700 is operated. By comparing the two measure valuses at random pressure values, the accuracy can be verified or the instrument under test can be adjusted. Despite its compact dimensions, the pressure test pump LR-Cal LPP 700 is easy to operate and allows for exact generation of the required test pressures The LR-Cal LPP 700 is fitted with a fine adjustment valve for a precise adjustment of pressures. The reference instrument is screwd directly on the top of the pump and the unit under test is connected by means of the connection tube incorporating an adapter 1/4" BSP female thread (freely rotating), contained in the scope of delivery.

The KOBOLD level switch of model NEK is a complete functional unit which is specially designed for monitoring conductive liquids under extreme conditions. Due to the design without any moving or protruding parts, the switches are very suitable for monitoring critical media with, for example, solid content, negligible density or high viscosity. The double-thread allows a variety of installations. The lengthof the shaft can be extended by attaching an additional protective tube. The instruments operate on the conductive principle of measurement. The conductive medium touches both electrodes causing a negligible alternating current to flow; the output state changes.
The plastic level switch NKP is designed for economical control of liquids in vessels. Many industrial applications can be realized with two different plastic versions each with three different mountings. The switch is remarkable for its maintenance-free design, small dimensions and reed contacts with high switch capacity.
The switch is mounted on the side of the vessel. A hinged plastic float with a magnet floats up and down through the liquid level. The encapsulated reed contact is operated by the magnet. The switching function (N/O contact / N/C contact) is determined by the installation position. The switching function is reversed by simply rotating the switch through 180°.
