IMG-KEL-DRX22-CTD-1

Keller DCX 22 CTD

sku Product SKU:  KEL-DCX-22-CTD

The DCX-22-CTD data loggers measure conductivity and temperature as well as pressure, along with the depth of bodies of water. The integrated Pt1000 achieves an accuracy of ±0,1 °C, and the conductivity can be measured at ± 2,5% of the selected range (0,2 / 2 / 20 / 200 mS/cm). Thanks to their long-life battery, they can keep recording measurement results for years (up to 10 years at a rate of one measurement per hour). The logger can be configured using the supplied software (measurement interval, incident management, delayed measurement start etc.) and data that has been read can be displayed in a graph or chart, corrected using air pressure values, converted into fill levels or other units, and exported.

The CTD versions of the DCX-22 range are autonomous battery-operated data collectors made of stainless steel. Requiring little maintenance, they record the water level (pressure), tempe- rature and conductivity over long periods. CTD stands for Conductivity, Temperature and Depth.

This data sheet specifies the additional conductivity measurement function which distinguishes the CTD version from the standard DCX-22. The pressure and temperature specifications are set out in detail in the data sheets for the DCX-22AA and DCX-22(SG/VG).

Conductivity is increasingly being monitored in conjunction with depth measurements, in which changes in water quality and depth are required to be detected simultaneously. Thus it is possible to detect contamination caused by salt water, waterborne particles or general pollutants when measuring groundwater levels.

KELLERʼs KOLIBRI Desktop programming and readout software is used to select a conductivity range (0...0.2 mS/cm, 0...2 mS/cm, 0...20 mS/cm or 0...200 mS/cm) and set the temperature coefficient for the medium. This process produces compensated conductivity measured values standardised at 25 °C.

DCX-22AA-CTD
The DCX-22AA-CTD data collector records groundwater levels using the AA (absolute- absolute) measurement method, whereby fluctuations in atmospheric pressure are measured and compensated for by the watertight atmospheric pressure sensor with its stainless steel dia- phragm. The advantage of this measurement method is that no humidity-sensitive capillary tube is required. As well, it is not required that the DCX-22AA-CTD be removed from the immersion tube in order to extract the data.

DCX-22-CTD
In the DCX-22-CTD, the sensor, electronics and battery are contained within the same housing. The data collector needs to be withdrawn from the immersion tube in order to extract the data. The DCX-22-CTD uses an absolute pressure sensor. For long-term measurements, where the impact of atmospheric pressure fluctuations is to be compensated, a second DCX, acting as a barometer, is placed at the surface to record changes in atmospheric pressure. The pressuredifference or, as appropriate, the water level is then calculated in the Kolibri Desktop Software by subtracting both measured values.

DCX-22(SG/VG)-CTD
The DCX-22SG/VG-CTD versions have a cable outlet with a readout plug, which is fixed to the surface of the measuring point with a locking disc. This means that the data logger does not have to be pulled out of the measuring point to read out the data. In the VG version (reference pressure measurement), the reference equalisation capillary tube in the cable is inserted until the read-out connector, where the reference opening protected by a Gore-Tex® diaphragm is located.

Kel-26y

Keller Series 26Y

sku Product SKU:  KEL-26Ys

The pressure transmitters Series 26 Y are used in water level measurements that are price-sen
-
sitive but still require considerable accuracy.
Technology
Y-series transmitters have an extremely small temperature error. This is achieved by means of
digital compensation of an all-analogue signal path. The gain and the zero point of the gain circuit
can be influenced by digital/analogue converters. These receive their numerical values from an
EEPROM that is addressed depending on the temperature. A mathematical model for TC zero
and TC gain with any order can therefore be determined in the calibration process and stored in
the transmitter with a resolution of 1,5 K. The accuracy of the end product therefore essentially
depends on the amount of testing and the linearity of the measuring cell.
With the Series 26 Y, the monocrystalline silicon measuring cell is reliably protected from the
measuring medium by a stainless steel diaphragm. The steel diaphragm itself is protected from
mechanical influence by a plastic cap, and has outstanding performance features with regard to
accuracy and stability due to its large diameter of 17 mm

The Y-line transmitters have an extremely small temperature error. This is achieved using an additional circuit containing a temperature sensor that subdivides the temperature range into fields that are 1,5 Kelvin (K) wide. The TK zero and TK compensation values are calculated for each field and programmed into the additional circuit. During operation, these values are fed into the analogue signal path depending on the temperature. Each temperature is the „calibration temperature” for this transmitter. The accuracy thereof is mainly determined by linearity. 120 fields are available, representing a possible temperature range of 180 K. The wider the temperature range, the greater the amount of testing that is needed to minimise the inaccuracy of the mathematical model.

Specifically designed for extended service in sewage lift station environments, the 36 XKY
by KELLER features a relatively wide sensing diaphragm yet small overall size. The 36 XKY
incorporates a monolithic diaphragm formed from Kynar
®
, which combines the non-stick quality
of Teflon with superior toughness and abrasion resistance that simplify installation and eliminate
the need for bulky and expensive protective cages.
The 36XKY utilizes proven piezoresistive silicon measurement technology combined with Kel
-
ler’s state-of-the-art, microprocessor-based signal conditioning circuitry to provide outstanding
accuracy and reliability over a wide compensated temperature range.
It is perfectly suited for pump control applications that require standard 2-wire (4...20 mA
current loop) or 3-wire (0...10 V) output transmitters. The RS485 interface allows users
to scale the analog output to any desired range within the standard pressure range. The
36 XKY is typically suspended into the liquid by a standard Hytrel
®
-jacketed cable that is
both self-supporting and vented. Optional: Keller’s enhanced lightning protection makes this
trans-mitter ideal for installation in areas prone to chronic damage due to transients caused by
lightning.

Kel-DCX-16

Keller DCX-16

sku Product SKU:  KEL-DCX16

The DCX-16 is an autonomous, battery-powered data collector in a stainless steel housing with a very small diameter of only 16 mm. The housing and the pressure sensor element are completely welded in, so sealing rings are eliminated at this point. In applications where a small probe diameter is an advantage, the logger can record the water level (pressure) and the temperature over long periods.

As well as the battery compartment with its double seal, the small-diameter (16 mm) submersible sensor includes electronic circuitry featuring the latest microprocessor technology. It records the pressure and temperature of the medium with high measurement accuracy and resolu-tion, and it uses a mathematical model to correct any linearity or temperature errors made by the pressure sensor. High data reliability is guaranteed thanks to the use of a nonvolatile data memory

The various configuration options allow the data logger to be adapted to the measuring point so that only specified events will be detected and stored. Event-controlled recording and loginterval recording can be set independently of one another. In addition, installation data and comments on the measuring point can be stored in the logger. Installation is fast and simple with fixing disks of various sizes which can be fitted as options: these match locking units (caps) from different manufacturers for levels of 1” or more (2” or more with light plummet aperture), so measuring points can be implemented at a fraction of the previous cost. Three versions of the data collector are available:

DCX-16

The sensor, electronics and battery are accommodated in one housing. To extract data, the data collector must be removed from the measuring point, and the watertight screw cap that allows access to the read-out plug /interface must be unscrewed. The DCX-16 operates with an absolute pressure sensor. In shallow water, when the influence of air pressure fluctuations has to be taken into account, a second logger (barometric logger, obtainable separately) positioned on the surface of the water must be used to record the air pressure progression. The computer software then calculates the differential pressure or the water level by subtracting the two measured data.

IMG-KOB-SZM

Kobold SZM

sku Product SKU:  KOB-SZM

The SZM type glass tube level indicator is applicable for the indication of liquid level in small and middle-sized, standing or lying round containers used in food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The loads occurring at the installation are absorbed by the outer armature, thus the glass tube is protected against breaking.

The outer armature also protects the glass tube against the mechanical impacts that may occur following the installation. It is recommended that the normal design level indicators be fitted on vessels containing pure liquids, while the  indicators mounted with cleaning stubs (a bottom, or bottom-top stub) be fitted on containers filled with contaminated liquid.

Installation length means the distance between the horizontal centre lines of the two fl anges, that is minimum 370 mm, and maximum 3 080 mm. The glass tubes longer than 1 500 mm are welded. The bottom, and top sealing of the glass tube is by two O-rings each, the material of which is to be chosen to be chemically compatible with the liquid measured.

Standard sealing material is FPM, whereas EPDM or NBR are available on request. The level indicator may be furnished with capacitive level sensors - max. 3 pieces over 100 mm - as requested (NAMUR design), which monitor the minimum and/or maximum level or any level along the scale.

Anodised aluminium rule with indication of level or volume may be mounted optionally on side of the outer armature. The scale can be engraved on the aluminium rule or the glass tube, or can be printed on a foil and to be attached to the glass tube or aluminium rule.
