The Kobold gear wheel flow meter model KZA for viscous liquids is a low-cost flow meter. The movement system consists of a gear set propelled by the flow. The instrument movement bearing is designed for the types KZA-1810 and KZA-1865 as radial and axial gliding bearings. The type KZA-1816 has a ball bearing.
The pick-up is separated from the measuring chamber and registrates the gear resolution contactlessly through the housing wall.
Easy maintenance, slight pressure loss, small weight and low noise level are the outstanding features of this flow meter.
Applications
KOBOLD pressure sensors series PDD are cost-effective electronic pressure switches with digital indication of actual pressure. Two switch points, on / off-switch delay and hysteresis, are within the measuring range and are programmable.

The electronic KOBOLD pressure transmitter and switch PSD with integrated display is used for continuous pressure measurement and monitoring and allows simple switching point programming without pressurisation. For each switching point, the contact function (NC contact/ NO contact), the reset points and the switching function (hysteresis/window function) can be programmed. Switching currents ranging up to 500 mA can be switched by the output transistors. The long-term proven thin-film cells give this pressure switch very good repeating accuracy and a long life, even at high load alternation. The rotating display and rotating electrical connection allow the switch also to be used under extreme mounting conditions. All wetted parts are made of stainless steel, making almost all media restrictions unnecessary for the electronic pressure transmitter/switch. The electronic pressure transmitter/switch PSD can be used for a wide range of measuring tasks in hydraulics and pneumatics.
NGM uses TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology, which is also known as Guide Microwave or Guided Wave Radar. This means that low-energy and high-frequency electromagnetic impulses, generated by the sensor’s circuitry, are propagated along the probe which is immersed in the liquid or solid to be measured. When these impulses hit the surface of the media, part of the impulse energy is reflected back up the probe to the circuitry which then calculates the level from the time difference between the impulses sent and the impulses reflected. The sensor can output the analysed level as 4 ... 20 mA analogue output, or it can convert the values into freely programmable switching output signal.

The meters meet most demanding requirements regarding measurement accuracy and long-term parameter stability. Flow-rate measurements in both directions are possible. The flow sensors have excellent wear resistance and its effect on the fluid flow characteristic or pressure in the connecting piping is negligible. The associated electronic unit supplies power to the sensors unit and processes the flow-rate signals. The meters have current and frequency outputs. Communication with external devices is via the Hart communication protocol. The meter display information is in English
