The ToughSonic CHEM 35 ultrasonic sensor is designed for distance measurement applications where corrosive chemical liquids or gasses are present, but it is an excellent sensor for benign environments as well. With a maximum range of 35 feet (10.7 meters), it is the longest range member of the ToughSonic CHEM sensor family. The sensor is sealed in a PVDF (Kynar®) housing. It’s fully submersible, chemical resistant and shock resistant. The ToughSonic CHEM 35 has a permanently attached, potted-in-place 9-wire cable that allows up to six simultaneous serial, analog and/or switch outputs. It’s fully configurable with SenixVIEW configuration and analysis software. CHEM series sensors and SenixVIEW software put the power of ultrasonics in your hands. You can quickly adjust, optimize, save and clone your applications quickly without calibration! These sensors are housed in a rugged, chemically inert PVDF sealed housing for long life. They mount above the material surface and measure distance downward without contact. Outputs respond to that measured distance. Applications include pump control, bulk inventory, batch processing, water management and high/low level alarms.
These rugged, compact ultrasonic sensors inspired the “ToughSonic” name. They are Senix flagship products with heavy-duty electronics epoxy potted into type 316 stainless steel housings, with permanently attached cables and ruggedized piezoelectric transducers. ToughSonic sensors are found on remote monitoring stations from the Australian outback to Alaskan oil fields. They are installed on heavy construction and farm equipment and in some of the harshest factory environments. When an ordinary sensor just won’t do, you need a ToughSonic.

Selet has designed a new series of capacitive sensors with more compact dimensions than the traditional sensors on the market: 40mm, in total, of which 33 mm belonging to the threaded part for the flush version, and 50 mm, in total, for the non-flush version. New constructive technology has allowed the creation of such products. The sensitivity adjustment does not occur through a trimmer but using a teach-switch placed at the back of the sensor.
