The Series 1000 and 2000 are a range of extra large 3 to 5 digit LED array displays, 125 mm digit height, designed to be used in process / temperature / weighing applications where high visibility and distant viewing is required. Using high intensity wide angle LED's in an IP65 enamelled steel housing ensures clear viewing distances of greater than 50 metres. For high ambient temperature conditions, an optional special coated glass window is available. Typical applications include downtime, time and production control in large factories, the indication of load cell inputs / crane overload protection, process signals such as temperature, pressure, level, and AC or DC voltages and currents. For electrical specifications, input signal details, as well as the terminal connector assignments in the Extra Large Display, see the individual indicator operating manuals (e.g. Model 4001). Standard DPM indicators are used and internally fitted for the internal signal conversion for the Extra Large Displays. (Models ending in a 2)
The DPM4004 load cell indicator is an easy-to-use precision programmable digital indicator for load cell & strain gauge applications. Inputs to the instrument include load cell input (6 wire) and two digital inputs for remote tare and remote peak hold reset (optional). The excitation includes sense feedback to compensate for cable voltage loss. Digital filtering for better stability and tare function is included as standard. Options include programmable analogue output, set-points (up to four alarms), peak or valley hold, RS-232/485 serial interfaces & more. A feature of these programmable indicators is the calibration method. The instrument can be pre-calibrated without load cell connections for zero & full scale values, & then on-site calibration can be done for deadweight offset & span calibration (single point test weight trim).
The DPM5004 LED load cell indicator is an easy-to-use precision programmable digital indicator for load cell & strain gauge applications. Inputs to the instrument include load cell input (6 wire) and two digital inputs for remote tare and remote peak hold reset (optional). The excitation includes sense feedback to compensate for cable voltage loss. Digital filtering for better stability and tare function is included as standard. Options include programmableanalogue output, set-points (up to four alarms), peak or valley hold, RS-232/485 serial interfaces & more. The DPM5004 has additional features. It has a 20-bit analogue to digital converter for ultrahigh resolution, and the excitation is user selectable for normal or barriered applications for intrinsic safety and it features user programmable display increments. A feature of these programmable indicators is the calibration method. The instrument can be pre-calibrated without load cell connections for zero & full scale values, & then on-site calibration can be done for deadweight offset & span calibration (single point test weight trim).
The DPM6004MF use the latest ARM microprocessor technology to offer a powerful, compact, field-mount unit that you can select for a variety of weighing functions at a cost-effective price. The main advantage to the user, servicing organisation or marketing company is having one electronic unit that can be used for almost any application in the weighing industry. A loadcell transmitter is used to convert loadcell outputs into a standard instrumentation analogue signal such as 4-20mA or 0-10volts, it will also supply power to excite one or more load cells. The 6004MF has many additional features such as displays for mass and programming, digital communications for direct connection to control computers and alarms. Our weighing electronics has always incorporated a recalibrate, zero trim and span trim feature. This is a simple way to set up a strain-gauge load cell system. All the variables, such as sensitivity and range, are inserted in the precalibrated section so that the system is reasonably accurate before adding test weights. The weighing system is then zero trimmed (back balanced) to offset the dead weight of weigh bin, weigh frame or weighbridge deck. With known test weights the system can be span trimmed to get higher accuracy. In some instances, such as very large weigh tanks where it is not possible to use test weights, pre-calibration using factory test certificates for loadcell sensitivity results in acceptable overall system accuracy. The ARM processor used incorporates a USB port and a real-time clock with day/date. We have made full use of these facilities and added an optional, factory fitted, global positioning system (GPS) to cater for such applications as on-board truck weighing, positioning and data logging. In refuse removal, some countries are introducing legislation for customers to pay by weight for this service. Farmers are starting to monitor crop production and fertiliser distribution by location to improve farming efficiency. Logging contractors need to load for maximum profit without incurring overweight fines. The unit is available as the DPM6004MF Multi-function unit -, a DPM6004LC - a load cell field mount transmitter and the DPM6004BW - a dedicated Belt weigher field mount transmitter.

The DPM9004 is a miniature space saving 92mm x 92mm x 26mm DIN-rail mount programmable load cell transmitter. Configuration and field calibration is done via a notebook or desktop PC using the user-friendly software available from our website. Complete 3-way isolation is provided between power supply, input and output. The transmitter is designed for mV inputs from load cells, strain gauges and strain gauge pressure transmitters. The stable bridge excitation voltage is user selectable for normal or IS (barriered) applications, and can power four load cells with the standard 10V excitation. Sense feedback is included to compensate for cable loss. The precision instrumentation op-amp front end circuit ensures high accuracy & stability. The digital filter feature allows for a stable output in noisy systems. The isolated analogue output is configurable for industry standard 0-10V or 0-20 / 4-20mA signals. The RS-232 serial interface and a remote tare function is standard. The serial interface allows connections to remote computers and SCADA systems using DPM’s DIGIbus protocol. The RS-485 option allows up to 99 transmitters to be linked on the same bus. A feature of this programmable transmitter is the calibration method. Pre-calibrated ranges can be allocated zero and full scale values and these can be adjusted on site via a notebook to allow for dead-weight offset and a single point span calibration (test weight trim).
