The WiFi data logger is an all-round talent when it comes to sensor technology: You can choose various internal sensors as well as up to five external sensors or connections. The FlexConnector offers the highest possible flexibility. The intelligent plug-in connection facilitates customer-specific adaptation of the desired FlexSensors.
No wiring costs and no time-consuming manual reading of measured values. Measured data can even be sent from places with difficult access. Integration either into an existing WiFi or via an access point, by means of mobile network access where required, into a separate wireless network.
When it comes to observing environmental conditions over a longer period of time, in many cases it is quite sufficient to transmit the collected data via WiFi once or twice a day. When configuring the MSR145W2D, you can set the time windows during which the data logger should connect to the WiFi network. The WiFi connection is thus only activated when it is needed – which has a positive effect on the battery life of the data logger.
With the MSR145W2D you have the option of using the MSR LocalCloud to store, manage and export the data either locally on your (company’s) own server or in the web-based cloud solution MSR SmartCloud. Via web browser you can view the measured values during operation.
In order to gain knowledge about the movement activity of dairy goats, MSR145W2D data loggers with acceleration sensors are used in a scientific research project. The loggers record the animals’ activities for 24 hours. The data transmission via WiFi takes place energy-savingly only once a day – when the goats are in the barn. This energy-saving data transmission allows the battery to run for more than 5 months. Should the WiFi connection fail, the data remain securely stored in the logger and can also be read out via USB.
For test measurements, it is often necessary to monitor measurement data in real time. In this case, the MSR145W2D is configured by the user so that the data is permanently sent to the WiFi network. Although the uninterrupted transmission of data results in higher power consumption, which affects the mobile operating time of the data logger, the data can be viewed immediately using MSR LocalViewer. For further processing, the measurement data can be sent to the cloud if required.
To determine load values, wireless MSR145W2D data loggers run along the production line at a beverage manufacturer. The measurement data is transmitted in real time via WiFi. The Series 1000 and 2000 are a range of extra large 3 to 5 digit LED array displays, 125 mm digit height, designed to be used in process / temperature / weighing applications where high visibility and distant viewing is required. Using high intensity wide angle LED's in an IP65 enamelled steel housing ensures clear viewing distances of greater than 50 metres. The Calog-LC Display is a portable, handheld unit that is able to display a Load cell value.The Lithium-Ion battery makes it possible to use the calibrator for a reasonable period of time as a portable load cell indicator in industrial plants or emergency situations. For longer applications, such as with a cattle scale, auxiliary power can be supplied via an external 12volt battery, charger or car cigarette lighter socket. In order to display mass, force, strain or torque from load cells the unit allows you to set the sensitivity in mV/V, range, decimal points and units.Zero trim can offset deadweight and span trim is available to increase the reading accuracy with the help of calibrated weights. Selections of software options such as tare, peak hold and auto-zero maintenance are included. The indicator can be used for one 350 Ohm or three 1000 Ohm load cells with a fixed 5Vdc excitation.
The CALOG-LC II Calibrator is ideal for testing 4 and 6 wire loadcells, checking insulation breakdown, weighing system calibration and simulation. It can test a loadcells' zero balance, input resistance, output resistance, bridge balance, 50V DC insulation test from bridge to shield, bridge to housing and shield to housing. The CALOG-LOADCELL II Calibrator is a hand-held precision calibrator specifically designed for load cell testing, including insulation breakdown and weighing system calibration or simulation. Simply connect a strain-guage load cell to the spring terminals and press "TEST LOADCELL". The backlit graphics will display four or six wire, zero balance, input or output resistance and bridge balance. It can then carry out a 50 VDC insulation test form bridge to shield, bridge to housing and shield to housing. For system testing and calibration the CALOG-LOADCELL II Calibrator can simultaneously measure mV (with mass display), excitation voltage and mA. Configuration and field calibration is done via a notebook or desktop PC using the user-friendly software available from our website. Complete 3-way isolation is provided between power supply, input and output. The transmitter is designed for mV inputs from load cells, strain gauges and strain gauge pressure transmitters. The stable bridge excitation voltage is user selectable for normal or IS (barriered) applications, and can power four load cells with the standard 10V excitation. Sense feedback is included to compensate for cable loss. The precision instrumentation op-amp front end circuit ensures high accuracy & stability. The digital filter feature allows for a stable output in noisy systems. The isolated analogue output is configurable for industry standard 0-10V or 0-20 / 4-20mA signals. The RS-232 serial interface and a remote tare function is standard. The serial interface allows connections to remote computers and SCADA systems using DPM’s DIGIbus protocol. The main advantage to the user, servicing organisation or marketing company is having one electronic unit that can be used for almost any application in the weighing industry. A loadcell transmitter is used to convert loadcell outputs into a standard instrumentation analogue signal such as 4-20mA or 0-10volts, it will also supply power to excite one or more load cells. The 6004MF has many additional features such as displays for mass and programming, digital communications for direct connection to control computers and alarms. Our weighing electronics has always incorporated a recalibrate, zero trim and span trim feature. This is a simple way to set up a strain-gauge load cell system. All the variables, such as sensitivity and range, are inserted in the precalibrated section so that the system is reasonably accurate before adding test weights. The weighing system is then zero trimmed (back balanced) to offset the dead weight of weigh bin, weigh frame or weighbridge deck. With known test weights the system can be span trimmed to get higher accuracy. In some instances, such as very large weigh tanks where it is not possible to use test weights, pre-calibration using factory test certificates for loadcell sensitivity results in acceptable overall system accuracy. The ARM processor used incorporates a USB port and a real-time clock with day/date. We have made full use of these facilities and added an optional, factory fitted, global positioning system (GPS) to cater for such applications as on-board truck weighing, positioning and data logging.
