Optris provides fixed, radiometric thermal cameras that deliver calibrated, traceable temperature data for every pixel—transforming thermal images into accurate, actionable measurements for process control, quality assurance, and safety applications. Each camera is factory calibrated with comprehensive corrections to convert radiance into precise temperature values based on the selected emissivity and spectral range. This enables reliable spot and area measurements, trending, alarm functions, and closed-loop control.
The Optris thermal camera range scales from robust Xi industrial cameras designed for stand-alone, fixed installations with direct I/O alarming, to PI thermal imagers optimised for PC-connected analysis, multi-camera configurations, and high-speed data acquisition. Application-specific variants include LWIR models for general-purpose surface measurements, dedicated cameras for glass inspection, and short-wavelength options for high-temperature or reflective metals—reducing emissivity and glare-related errors.
With multiple resolutions and frame rates available, Optris cameras capture everything from slow thermal changes to rapid transients. Their low NETD sensitivity reveals subtle temperature gradients and early-stage hot spots, while interchangeable wide-angle, telephoto, and macro optics ensure optimal pixel coverage for stable, repeatable measurements.

The Optris Compact Line (Xi Series) features compact, rugged industrial fixed thermal cameras designed for continuous temperature monitoring in harsh environments. Combining pyrometer durability with thermal imaging, these cameras deliver reliable radiometric data for precise process control.
Ideal for hot-spot and early fire detection, process monitoring, thermography, temperature alarms, and closed-loop control, the Xi Series provides dependable performance in space-constrained industrial installations.
Precision Line – Stationary Thermal Cameras
The Optris Precision Line (PI Series) consists of high-accuracy stationary thermal cameras for advanced industrial and research applications. These radiometric cameras cover LWIR and short-wave spectral ranges, making them ideal for temperature measurement of metals, glass, and general industrial processes.
With flexible frame rates, line-scan and sub-frame modes, the PI Series captures both slow thermal changes and fast transients. USB connectivity with PIX Connect software, optional industrial I/O, interchangeable optics, and cooling enclosures ensure seamless integration and reliable performance across a wide temperature range from −20 °C to 2450 °C.
