CALOG 9000/9240 Universal Programmable Signal Conditioner / Transmitter
Product Information
The CALOG 9000/9240 is a compact, universal programmable signal conditioner and isolated transmitter designed to simplify industrial signal conversion and integration.
Supporting a wide range of input types — including thermocouples, RTDs, mV, current, voltage, potentiometer and frequency signals — the CALOG 9000/9240 provides a flexible interface between field instrumentation and industrial control systems.
Measurements can be converted and retransmitted as programmable 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA or 0–10 V analogue outputs, while 3-way galvanic isolation between the power supply, input and output helps maintain signal integrity in demanding industrial environments.
Configuration and field calibration are performed locally through the onboard USB-C interface using SmartView software, allowing input and output types, scaling and device behaviour to be configured for the application.
For frequency applications, the CALOG 9000/9240 accepts NPN/PNP proximity-switch inputs from 0.2 Hz to 20 kHz, with configuration in Hz or RPM. Optional RS-232, RS-485 and solid-state relay setpoints extend the platform’s integration and alarm capabilities.
The two models provide the same core functionality with different supply requirements:
CALOG 9000: 95–265 V AC/DC isolated supply
CALOG 9240: 8-30 V DC isolated supply
With its compact 92 × 92 × 26 mm DIN-rail enclosure, the CALOG 9000/9240 provides one programmable platform for temperature measurement, process signal conditioning, frequency measurement and industrial control-system integration.

Note 1: When the instrument is first installed, it may take a few minutes for accurate readings to appear. This is normally due to the differing temperatures between the instrument, panel and thermocouple cable, and these temperatures have to stabilise for the cold junction compensation circuit to measure the correct temperature.
