Tyre pressure controller four digit red LED display

The Model 4005 Tyre Pressure Controller is designed to monitor tyre pressure continuously, and if necessary, to inflate / deflate the tyre in order to bring the pressure within pre-set limits. A 4 - 20mA pressure transducer is used as a sensor. Relay contacts are used to operate one inflating and one deflating valve. Normally open contacts are provided, and one common terminal is provided for both relays. A 3 pole one way rotary switch is used to select each of the pre-set pressure levels. A non-latching 2 pole switch is used as a start button, which initiates the inflate / deflate control mode. The unit is easily programmable from the front keypad. The keypad can be disabled via a terminal at the back of the instrument. The standard built-in excitation supply is used to power up the transmitter.

Six set points are provided, grouped in two batches. Alarms 1 to 3 are in one batch while alarms 4 to 6 are in another batch. Using an external toggle switch, the user can select between the two batches.

The instrument has three operating modes:

• MONITOR mode - The TPC measures the input value. This mode is the default mode when the instrument is turned on.
• PROGRAMME mode - This mode is used for customising the TPC, and can only accessible if the required link at the back of the instrument is wired in. The programming is then achieved by using the front keypad.
• CONTROL mode - The TPC controls the tyre pressures by either an inflate or deflate command via the relays which activate the valves. This mode is entered into by pressing the external start button.
