INSTROTECH CELEBRATES THEIR ALL-TIME BEST SELLER

4004 / 5004 Programmable load cell indicators

Instrotech, local distributor of process control instrumentation and specialised systems, has proudly announced that their 4004 / 5004 panel-mount load cell indicator has become their overall best-seller, and South Africa’s favourite product for the accurate and reliable weighing and control of materials.  Acknowledged as an industry standard, it has found application in virtually all industries, for example:

New compact, flexible infrared camera from Instrotech

Instrotech, local distributor of process control instrumentation and specialised systems, has announced the availability of the Optris PI camera featuring online thermal imaging systems, claiming impressive cost-to-performance ratios.  Developed to thermally determine objects and automatically detect hot or cold spots, typical applications are research and development (R&D); test stations (T&M); process automation and portable measurement tasks.

Kobold’s new module level measurement duo - double safeguards process level control

KOBOLD Instrumentation, represented in South Africa by Instrotech – a Comtest Group company – has combined and modularly constructed their NGM (remote transmission level measurement) with the proven NBK (bypass level indicator) to produce a level instrument which works on the principle of Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), or guided microwave/radar.

Monitor, manage and protect your fuel with Tank-i

With the ever-escalating cost of fuel these days, the siphoning-off of fuel from vehicles for illicit sale in commercial fleets and industry in general is, not surprisingly and most alarmingly, on the increase.  Rototherm, represented locally by Instrotech, uses the proven Canongate technology.  Tank-i has been developed for level measurement on the vehicle fuel tank and is a solution that allows fleet operators to monitor, manage and ultimately protect their fuel.

Measuring malt spirit strength

One of the crucial points in production of malt whisky is ensuring the spirit cuts are done at the correct strength.  Since controls were introduced to discourage the production of illicit spirit in 1823, this has been done using a combination of hydrometers and thermometers in a spirit safe.

SENIX FAMILY OF LEVEL AND DISTANCE SENSORS

SENIX, specialist distance measurement manufacturers, represented in South Africa by Instrotech – a Comtest Group company – is offering the ToughSonic LVL family - a range of level and distance sensors designed for ease of use and reliability that offers non-contact level or distance measurement up to 10.7m, depending on the model.

ALBANY BAKERY : INSTROTECH RISES TO THE CHALLENGE

Instrotech, local distributor of process control instrumentation and specialised systems, recently supplied Albany Bakery with SIKO’s new generation of position indicators for application in the molding section of the bread baking factory-line process.

Pressure Switch with Ceramic Cell

German technology company KOBOLD Instrumentation, has manufactured two pressure switches featuring a ceramic cell, available in South Africa from Instrotech – a Comtest Group company.  These cost effective pressure sensor/switches indicate actual pressure digitally.  Two switch points, on/off switch delay and hysteresis are within the measuring range programmable, using the piezzo resistive ceramic sensor.  Long term stability and repeatability and the compact and robust design makes these ideal for used in OEM applications, such as compressors, pumps, installations and the machinery industry.

Inspecta Secures an Order for Six more Tube Leak Detection systems from India

In December 2012, Instrotech (Pty) Limited (Instrotech) secured an order for six new, Inspecta FFT Acoustic Tube Leak Detection systems from NTPC Limited ((formerly National Thermal Power Corporation), the largest Indian state-owned electric utilities company based in New Delhi, India, which Instrotech was able to supply and ship within six weeks – an impressive order turnaround time for any Manufacturer.

LEAK-DETECTION IN COAL-FIRED POWER STATIONS

Instrotech - a Comtest Group Company - has designed and developed at the request of and, in consultation with the South African Power Utility (where 93% of all electricity is currently generated using coal) an advanced acoustic leak detection system called Inspecta FFT, to detect boiler tube leaks in coal fired utilities as well as in oxygen plants and gasifiers.
