COMPACT IR CAMERA FOR GLASS MANUFACTURING

Glass manufacture requires special equipment for non-contact temperature measurement due to its physical properties. In addition to the special infrared thermometers, Optris GmbH, as an innovation leader, recently introduced the thermal imaging cameraoptris® PI 450 G7 with 7.9?m filterto the market at GLASSTEC 2014, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

OPTRIS offers fever inspection of travellers

The Ebola fever and other diseases are highly dangerous and transferred by sick people or contaminated objects. Given the ease modern-day air travel, aircraft are a surefire way to export this dangerous virus worldwide.  Africa, for instance, has around 60 airports, so it’s an important international challenge to identify infected people amongst travellers in a crowd at airports, and thus be able to prevent ill people from travelling and potentially spreading the virus across borders.

Reduced set-up times thanks to automated actuators

Reduced set-up times thanks to automated actuators

Fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG, a German company that provides fixing systems, automotive systems, and process consulting services worldwide, switched sections of its packaging production over to the SIKO AG05 actuator, one of SIKO’s innovative actuators. By using approximately 50 actuators of the AG05 series, Fischerwerke was able to reduce the set-up times of several production lines from 45 minutes to under five minutes. In addition to the low weight and small installation size, the customer was particularly impressed by the connectivity and long-term reliability of the solution and the flexibility gained in the production process. Incoming orders can be dealt with quickly without having to stock the full range of items. The actuators can be automated and lead to a dramatic reduction inset-up times in the areas of mechanical and plant engineering.
